Villefranche Sur Mer One Bed

Excellent

Pros: Great location with a view over the roofs to the bay & Cap Ferrat. Well equipped kitchen. Washer/dryer. Great shower & good sized bathroom. Comfy bed. Quiet area in the heart of Villefranche. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return. Helene met us at the property and also when we left.

Cons: All good 😊

A modern, comfortable apartment in a charming town

Pros: Lovely modern apartment in Villefranche old town. Very clean and comfortable, with a/C and washing machine with integrated drier. Sitting room has a view of the bay with all the fancy yachts and cruise ships coming in. Not the best view, but still great to have a coffee with a view. This apartment was our base while we explored Nice and the Riviera - all the way from Cannes to Sanremo, and we loved it there.

Cons: This is not about the apartment, but a general note. The old town is on a hill, so plenty of climbing. We counted 101 steps coming from the train station to the apartment door!!. So probably better to come by taxi/uber/bolt if you have luggage, as this drop off is only a few metres from the apartment

Lovely apartmentment in quiet and central area of Villefranche

Pros: Beautifully apartment in a quiet and excellent area of Villefranche. The hostess was very welcoming and friendly and was there to meet us upon arrival. The air conditioning worked very well and was nice and quiet. The apartment is well equipped with dishwasher etc. We had a late flight and were kindly allowed to have a late check-out from the property.

Cons: Nothing to report. Perhaps it could do with more pillows in the bedroom, but more than one pillow is a personal choice.

Lovely apartment.

Pros: The decor is interesting and location is excellent. The owner was fantastic and responsive.

Cons: Parking isn’t too difficult but it’s an issue. Shower gel was missing. As is being listed alongside hotels that’s a must especially for a beach holiday. I find the room a bit stuffy but there is air conditioning.

It was perfect in every way. Highly recommend. Helêne is lovely. The street is pure magic…. You just gotta see it. Fabu

Pros: It was quirky and homely. Decor was really lovely. It has an amazing view out over the bay Bed was comfy with good quality bedding. Bathroom stunning with a very large shower Everything you would need Helêne had provided We loved our stay very much indeed

Cons: There was nothing not to like but for anyone unfit or with mobility problems it would not be easy as the apartment is (like all In Villefranche) built on a steep hillside . Also a set of fairly steep steps to hall door. If you are fit and able to…. You will love it

Comfortable and Quiet

Pros: Quiet, clean & spacious apartment within an easy walk of everything. 5min walk to the bus into Nice. Its a short, flat bag drag from where a Taxi or car can drop you. The host is very helpful and attended to an AC issue promptly.

Cons: Its a bit pricey and parking is hard and expensive anywhere in the area. 2 short narrow steep flights of stairs to the front door could be problematic for some.

Relaxing

Pros: The picturesque location was wonderful, and the property was very clean and stylishly decorated.

Pros: Spacious apartment to relax in. Great location, central to restaurants, bars, the beach, and the train line. Washing machine very handy whilst travelling! Nice view out over the water and lots of small things on hand to make life easier

Cons: Apartment could use more towels (recommend bringing a beach towel) and be prepared for a hilly area with multiple steps if you’ve never been

Pros: Lovely host, very helpful. A beautiful place with an amazing view. A very good bed, everything very clean. The bathroom was really clean and spacious which was really appreciated.We loved it.

Easy place to stay for a few days, lack of towels would be an issue for more than three or four.

Pros: It’s a good one-bed apartment for a few days. Breakfast was easy with toaster, coffee maker and kettle. The air-con worked well, the bed was comfortable, the shower hot with good pressure — and there is a view of the sea, albeit at an angle.

Cons: 1. The provision of towels was meagre. There were only two smallish bath towels. That was barely adequate, but there should be two hand towels for the basin. 2. No bedside tables so the water glass, books and reading glasses were put on the floor which was not convenient. The cushions from the bed ended up on the floor as well 3. Very little storage for bags and only three hangers for clothes, 4. Too much clutter in the bedroom with two baskets, one huge on the floor and one smaller in a shelf. 5. TV was an old model and could not be hooked up with airplay etc. Not too big a deal as we weren’t there long but viewing was restricted to current tv.
