A great escape in a beautiful location x

Pros: A beautiful view and a quiet retreat if you want to get away from it all. Villefranche is a hidden gem on the Côte D'Azur and more understated than other towns on this beautiful coast. Its difficult to reach by car due to the steep winding roads down to the harbour but this has preserved its character and beauty.

Cons: Its about 15 minutes walk down a steep hillside into Villefranche old town with beautiful scenic views. We loved it but the walk back can be challenging after dinner & a few drinks! x
